There are certain situations that may cause an error message to appear while attempting to save. The two most common are:
1) Your internet connection has been disrupted or disconnected
2) You are no longer logged in to your account
The error message in both situations says "We could not save your changes. Please check your internet connection." and it window looks like this:
To ensure your illustrations save correctly...
1) When your internet connection has been disrupted
BioRender cannot save changes while disconnected from the internet. If you try to manually save and this window appears, it could mean your internet has been disconnected.
If you get this message, check your internet connection. If disconnected, reconnect to save changes. If your internet connection appears to be working normally, see (2) below.
2) When you are no longer logged in to your account
BioRender cannot save changes if you or somebody else has logged out of your account in another tab, window, browser or computer. To ensure that your illustrations save correctly, you must make sure you are still logged in.
If you are experiencing problems saving, refresh the page to check if you've been logged out (you will see the BioRender Sign In page if you have been logged out), and if so, log back in to continue editing and saving changes.
