If you are unable to find a particular icon in our search bar, it could be one of several issues:
A previous search term is still in the search bar:
You can search multiple terms at once in BioRender to help narrow down your search results. However, this means that search terms must be cleared before you start a new, unrelated search. If a previous search term is still active in the search bar, it can interfere with your new search and prevent certain icons from appearing in your search results.
To check if a previous search term is still being applied to your results, take a look at the search bar: any search terms that are currently being applied will appear as grey boxes that can be cleared by clicking the "X".
The spelling of the search term is incorrect:
We all make typos once in a while! Before requesting a new icon, double-check to make sure that the spelling of all of your search terms is correct.
The icon is not in our library:
If after checking both of the above, you still can't find the icon that you're looking for, it may be that we haven't added that particular icon to our library yet. If this is the case, you can submit an icon request from our illustration team by clicking the Request an Icon button at the bottom left corner of the screen.
